THE 2021 PORK PIE CHARITY RUN – PROUDLY SPONSORED BY MINI.
“Have fun and raise a few funds.”
That’s the motto of the Pork Pie Charity Run – an idea conjured up in 2007, initially planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the MINI Cooper in 2009. MINI maniacs from all over the country packed out New Zealand's northern most town, Kaitaia. Over the next few days, drivers would parade their passion across 2,500km, as they headed toward their final destination, Invercargill – retracing the route taken by the original MINI in the Kiwi classic, Goodbye Pork Pie.
With the help of MINI New Zealand, the Pork Pie Charity Run continued to thrive, biannually, for the past 10+ years – raising over one million dollars for various New Zealand charities such as Starship Hospital, Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand and KidsCan.
Once again, on the 25th of March 2021, MINI madness was set in motion. Watch as the crew take on their impressive 6-day journey – all whilst supporting a great cause.
